Three stolen vehicles have been recovered by police.

The cars were located in Haslingden over the weekend.

Officers on their first night shift on Thursday, recovered a stolen Range Rover, before coming across a stolen Ford Fiesta on Friday night.

Not long after the Fiesta had been taken away, police noticed another suspicious vehicle, which was stopped and the driver arrested on suspicion of theft.

A police spokesperson said on Saturday: "Team 5IR have found and recovered three stolen vehicles in the Haslingden area

"On our first night shift a stolen Range Rover was recovered and last night an outstanding stolen Fiesta ST.

"Once recovery had been for the Fiesta the officer spotted another suspicious vehicle and this turned out to be another outstanding stolen vehicle whereby the occupant was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and is currently on police custody.

"All vehicles have been recovered to the compound and will be returned to the rightful owners in due course."
