New research has revealed that in one area of Lancashire, house prices range from £40k to £1.2million.

The cost of buying a house in the west of the county will vary, depending where on the Fylde coast you want to live - Blackpool or Lytham.

Gathering five years' worth of sold house price data across the FY postcodes (Fylde and Blackpool), Church Drive, Regent Avenue and Islay Road have some of the highest-valued homes across the region.

Some of the cheapest residential streets in Blackpool include Priory Court, Sutherland View and Talbot Road.

A new tool by home sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since early 2016 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the FY postcodes.

On Church Drive (FY8), three properties sold for an average of £1,200,000.

Regent Avenue (FY8), three properties sold for an average of £975,000.

Also, Islay Road (FY8) saw eight properties sell for an average of £970,812.

Some of the cheapest streets include Priory Court (FY1) (where three properties sold for an average of £41,333), Sutherland View (FY1) (where three properties sold for an average of £43,833) and Talbot Road (FY3) (where three properties sold for an average of £44,666).

Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.

“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Hardhorn Road, sold for £1,250,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £37,000 and under on Lindbeck Court, Lindbeck Road, Naventis Court, and Church Street."
