Police believe two incidents in which two men were attacked in their own home and a car set on fire are connected.
Officers attended an address on Cleveleys Avenue in Thornton Cleveleys at 7pm on Wednesday following a targeted attack on the occupants of the house.
Two men were injured as a result of the assault and taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.
An investigation is underway and enquiries ongoing but as of yet no arrests have been made.
A vehicle was also set on fire on nearby Stockdove Way around the same time, and police believe this to be connected.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers remain at the scene and patrols are being stepped up in the area for the next few days to provide reassurance to residents.
"We do not believe there to be a threat to the wider public.
"If anyone has any concerns, they can approach our officers and speak with them."
