FRIENDS and family are being urged to make donations in memory of a popular landlady of a Clayton-le-Moors pub.

Sarah Emma Moore died peacefully at her home on January 13.

The 51-year-old was the landlady of the Hare & Hounds and the much-loved and loving wife of Sean, mum to Lee, Kevin, Stuart, Emma, Danny and Matt, dearly loved daughter of Carol, loving nan of Holly, Elexi, Lucas and Alex, Sarah was much loved by all her friends and customers.

She trained as a nurse working in Manchester and then moved to Spain for three years before returning to the UK working in Asda and various pubs.

Sarah truly came into her own when she took over position as landlady along with her beloved husband Sean at the Hare and Hounds where she became a much loved pillar in the local community over the last four years.

She loved to socialise, so she was the perfect landlady and she enjoyed a drink whilst chatting away to her friends.

She always looked forward to some warm sunshine, enjoying trips to Benidorm and Tenerife and she loved nothing more than listening to Sean singing away.

She enjoyed nights away in hotels, which had to be five star, especially to ‘The Lake House’ with Sean, Paul, David, Vicky and Mick.

In her spare time Sarah loved to settle and watch a good TV drama and her favourite film was the Muppets Christmas Carol.

Sarah was the most doting family lady and nan.

She loved nothing more than gathering the family for a celebration and was at her happiest when her house was full.

Donations are being received in memory of Sarah on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice.
