East Lancashire football club, Accrington Stanley, has unveiled their new supporters' bar and hospitality suite which will be opening in March.
Pictures have emerged of the new “state-of-the-art” suite which is located at the Wham Stadium in Accrington.
The glass fronted lounge offers panoramic views over the Wham Stadium pitch and will be open to both home and away supporters.
The supporters' bar, which will open at 12pm on matchdays and 5pm for midweek evening games, will serve food (pie, peas and gravy), as well as a selection of beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks.
With Sky Sports on the large TV screens and live music from 1pm until kick-off, there will also be bar and waiter/waitress service on hand, as will (when available) the new Stanley drink ordering app.
The suite will officially open on Saturday 12 March for the football club’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Charlton Athletic, which is currently sold out.
Beyond just watching football games in style, the new space can also be booked for formal and informal room booking opportunities for all occasions, including weddings, family celebrations, meetings and conferences.
In the coming weeks, a corporate brochure will be available to view online or via hard copy.
Accrington Stanley owner, Andy Holt, said he is “proud” of the new build.
He said: “We have built it in a style which follows Accrington’s motto – industry and prudence.
“I was convinced by some of our staff that we should do it right… this new facility will hopefully resonate with the community and the people of Accrington.
“They can use it for births, marriages, deaths.
“It’s a great asset to the town and hopefully people will see it’s been worth going through the pain for.”
While the project went over budget, Andy said it was worth it for the quality and longevity of the facility.
He said: “It’s got to last a long time and quality will be remembered long after price has been forgotten.
“It’s got all the latest equipment and all the ventilation for Covid.
“It should last for the next 50-60 years and that’s really what I wanted to see happen.”
Many Accrington Stanley fans are looking forward to seeing the new supporter’s bar for themselves.

Hospitality package prices range from £69-£816 depending on the type of package you opt for and the number of people in the suite.
