AN INJURED person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after a garage fire yesterday afternoon.
Two fire engines from Hyndburn station were called to the scene on Waltham Close, Accrington at around 3pm on Saturday.
There the crews found a blaze underway involving a domestic garage.
Using a breathing apparatus and a hose reel, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and rescue a person who had been injured.
The casualty had suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
