Guns, cash and drugs were recovered after officers raided an address.

On Saturday afternoon police from Burnley's taskforce executed a drugs warrant at a property in Lyndhurst Road as part of their national neighbourhood policing week of action.

When they searched the premises they found guns, drugs, and a large amount of cash, which were seized.

Two people were arrested and were due to be interviewed on Saturday evening.

A spokesperson for the police said on Saturday: "This afternoon, officers from Burnley taskforce have executed a drugs warrant at an address in the Lyndhurst Road area where we have seized a quantity of drugs, cash and weapons.

"Two people have been arrested and will be interviewed this evening by the team.

"This is a result of information given to us by our community.

"We are working hard to take drugs off the street and if you have any information about drug dealing you can call 101, report anonymously via the independent charity Crime stoppers or by emailing the team at: BurnleyNBHTaskforce@lancashire.pnn.police.uk"
