MORE than 100 cannabis plants were discovered by police during a raid in Blackburn yesterday evening.
The Blackburn Neighbourhood Police Officers discovered the drugs after first noticing a smell that had been worrying people in the area.
They then decided to investigate with the help of nearby members of the community.
A Police spokesperson said: "Another one bites the dust, Blackburn Neighbourhood Officers were made aware yesterday of a strong smell emanating from an address by concerned local residents.
"After politely knocking on the door, and with the assistance of a local resident who kindly leant us their ladders.
"Officers gained entry and found a Cannabis Grow of 131 plants across five rooms.
"One person was arrested at the address and has been remanded in custody."
