FIVE valuable cows were stolen from a farm.

The cows were taken from a farm on Loveclough Road, Loveclough, Rossendale between 9pm on Thursday January 20 and 9am the following morning.

A police spokesperson said: “These heifers are high value banded Galloways and Herefords and are easily identifiable.”

They added: “We would ask the public to please check CCTV in that area for any suspicious activity or vehicles, also, if any new livestock appear in any local fields.”
