Three men ran from a car after crashing it at a residential junction.
Footage shared widely on social media shows a car travelling down Holly Street in Blackburn on Thursday morning.
The car arrives at the junction with Cedar Street and turns left but the driver underestimates the turning and crashes into a parked car.
Almost immediately and simultaneously, three people, all believed to be men, jump out of the car and run from the scene leaving both cars damaged.
Two men run in one direction with the other running in the opposite direction.
One of the men appears to be carrying a small bag with him also.
It is not clear how much damage was done to the parked car but it is believed the car being driven by the offenders was stolen.
A spokesperson for the police said: "At around 11.35am on Thursday January 20 officers on patrol signalled for a black VW Bora to stop, however the driver failed to do so and a short pursuit then took place.
"The pursuit was called off as the vehicles approached Cedar Street.
"A short time later, on Cedar Street, the VW collided with another vehicle which was then pushed into a third vehicle.
"A teenage boy was detained at the scene and has since been spoken to and returned to his parents.
"The driver of the VW remains outstanding and enquiries are ongoing to locate them."
Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 525 of January 20.
