Hundreds of people packed into Blackburn in the summer of 1997 as the town became a seaside resort for a week.
Blackburn by the Sea featured rides, attractions and even a beach.
A Superbike Sunday was also held when homegrown hero Carl Fogarty, the a two-time World Superbike champion was the guest of honour. Foggy would go on to capture two more world crowns.
