A provisional licence holder was clocked by police speeding at an unbelievable 145mph on the motorway.
On Thursday, North West Motorway Police spotted the Mercedes S350 travelling at the eye-watering speed on the M6 Southbound.
Officers paced the vehicle and upon stopping it, found the driver only had a provisional licence.
The Mercedes was seized and the driver reported to appear in court at a later date.
A spokesperson for the police said: "MS16 paced this Mercedes S350 at 145 mph on the M6 Southbound.
"Driver was found to be a provisional licence holder only.
"Vehicle seized and the driver reported for summons."
