A 14-year-old has been arrested for possessing an offensive weapon in Accrington Town Centre.
It follows a weekend of disorder around the Town Centre, involving large groups of teenagers.
On Tuesday 18 January, Police arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been referred to the Youth Offending Team after admitting his involvement.
Hyndburn Neighbourhood Policing team said they had started an investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “Every area in our county has a dedicated Neighbourhood Team committed to preventing and fighting crime and working with local communities to keep them safe.
“We are increasing patrols around the Town Centre to increase confidence from the community. If you see our officers out and about on patrol, please don’t hesitate to speak to them about any concerns you may have.
“We are still investigating these incidents and will be visiting youths and their parents who are identified as being involved in any nuisance to offer them referrals to diversionary activities.”
