A MOTHER and daughter lockdown craft project honouring key workers is being recognised on a national scale.

Through the worst of the pandemic, Victoria Bond and daughter Annie, 6, from Burnley, decided to put their artistic abilities to good use and endeavoured to 'bring smiles to peoples faces' through the creation of handmade wooden characters, in a bid to raise funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The Little Key Worker Company has since gone from strength to strength over the past 18-months, gaining significant traction in the press and on social media. Now, they have joined forces with Ribble Valley based marketing company The Hatch - a creative, media and digital agency to help propel it forward.

Ms Bond, Little Key Worker Co founder and director, said: "Our journey is only just beginning and Little Key Worker Co is extremely excited to be working alongside The Hatch and greatly appreciate their continued support.

"As a brand, our passion to grow Little Key Worker Co is stronger than ever, whilst championing our amazing key workers, especially in the run up to Christmas."

As a result, a succession of high profile individuals have helped champion the brand along its journey so far, including radio DJ and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! runner up, Jordan North.

Further recognition saw Annie awarded the Burnley Mayor’s Award for voluntary service along with a nomination at the Pride of Britain awards. In addition to this, the creative pairing started to be recognised by famous TV doctors, authors and international speakers.

The founding philosophy of the Little Key Worker Co is to 'spread positivity and thank a number of industries', and one in particular is the health service.

The Hatch welcomed student paramedic, Kiera Phillips, into the office and presented her with Little Key Worker Company products, as a thank you for all of her and her colleagues' hard work.

Kiera said: "It was really touching to receive these beautiful gifts. We all work incredibly hard and it’s lovely to see that this doesn’t go unnoticed.

"The story of Little Key Worker Co is truly unique, and I’m incredibly grateful and pleased to have played a part in their story so far."

Sales director of The Hatch, Phill Monk, said: "We're exceptionally proud to be supporting such a good cause. We believe it’s vital that we provide Little Key Worker Co with the tools required to propel them into the position they deserve to be in.

"Collectively, we can’t wait to see how this brand grows as it continues to spread joy and smiles to key workers across the nation and beyond."
