Lake District one of most popular national parks in world on TikTok

The Lake District came in at eighth on the list, according to research by the travel experts at ParkSleepFly.

The study analysed the view counts of national parks around the world to reveal the most popular national parks on the TikTok.

The top 10 most popular national parks on TikTok across the world are:

1. Yellowstone National Park - 630,300,000 views

2. Denali National Park - 291,500,000 views

3. Yosemite National Park - 279,800,000 views

4. Grand Canyon National Park - 249,200,000 views

5. Göreme National Park, Turkey - 122,900,000 views

6. Joshua Tree National Park - 120,800,000 views

7. Glacier National Park - 115,000,000 views

8. Lake District National Park, UK - 105,900,000 views

9. Kruger National Park, South Africa - 98,700,000 views

10. Redwood National Park - 95,200,000 views

The world’s most popular national parks are located in the US and occupy seven of the top 10 global rankings.

Yellowstone National Park is the most popular on TikTok, with 630.3 million views, 339 million views ahead of Denali National Park in second place.

ParkSleepFly gathered a list of all of the US and UK national parks as well as national parks around the world. 

These were then ranked according to the number of views posts tagged with the name of the national park had garnered on TikTok, as of November 19.

The Lake District National Park gained 105.9million views on the social media platform.

The largest national park in England, the Lake District also takes in 16.4million visitors a year, making it the most visited national park in England.

Crowned a World Heritage Site in 2017, the park is home to Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England making it an attractive tourist destination for TikTok tourists.
