A driver was arrested after testing positive for drugs, having no insurance and no tax.
He was also apprehended over using his mobile phone while at the wheel.
On Tuesday, officers stopped the van, pictured, after it was seen indicating to turn left but instead turned right.
The driver was using his mobile phone while driving and when police carried out further enquiries upon stopping the van, they found the motorist had no insurance and the van wasn't taxed.
With their suspicions aroused, they asked the driver to provide a drugs wipe, which returned a positive result.
The driver was then arrested and the van was seized.
A spokesperson for the police said: "This van stopped in Ormskirk as seen to indicate left but turn right.
"Driver was using his mobile phone whilst driving, didn't have insurance to cover them to drive, van not taxed and provided a positive drug wipe so was arrested and van seized."
