A MEDICAL centre car park is closed due to improvement works.

Anybody planning on visiting Barbara Castle Way Health Centre in Blackburn is being asked to make alternative arrangements for parking due to the closure, which has been put in place as resurfacing work take place.

Work has been ongoing on the underground carpark since the end of the December and is expected to be complete by January 31.

A spokesman for the centre said: "Barbara Castle Way Health Centre Community Health Partnerships would like to remind patients that there will be a temporary closure at the surgery due to car park resurfacing.

"Work has been ongoing on the underground car park since 29 December 2021 and will aim to conclude on 31 January 2022. Improvement works are taking place but to allow more time for completion patients are kindly asked to find alternative parking arrangements locally. "Those who are blue badge holders can use the opposite car park for easy access to the surgery. Parking attendants will be on the gates to let them enter.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to have the car park available as soon as possible."
