An elderly woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a hit and run.
Police were called at about 4.40pm yesterday (Thursday, January 6) after a woman was hit by a car while crossing the road at Croston Road in Garstang, close to the junction with Hawthorn Avenue, with the driver failing to stop.
The woman, who is in her 60s, has suffered a broken arm, broken leg and serious injuries. She was taken to hospital for treatment.
PC Gary Holliday, of Lancashire Police, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run collision in Garstang.
“An elderly woman has been left with serious injuries and we want to find the driver of the vehicle involved.
“Did you see what happened, or see a car in the area driving erratically around the time of the collision? If so, please come forward.”
