A BUSY road has been closed following another night of bad weather.
The A666 after Darwen is currently impassable and has been shut by the police.
Drivers are being asked to find an alternative route.
Yesterday afternoon, the Grane Road was closed for a number of hours after heavy snow made for treacherous driving conditions.
Further freezing temperatures and sleet overnight has set the way for further road closures and disruption this morning.
A police spokesman said: “Due to the weather, the A666 between Whitehall Road/Queens Road to Jacks Key Drive towards Bolton is currently impassable. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes.”
