Major road closed and drivers turned around as weather worsens
**Update as of 3pm: the road is now open.
A MAJOR road was closed due to bad weather conditions.
The Grane Road between Haslingden and Blackburn was shut earlier this afternoon, with officers turning motorists around.
This was due to snow which had been falling since around 11am.

A spokesman said: “Please be aware that Grane Road in Haslingden, Blackburn is currently closed both ways due to bad weather conditions. Please can all vehicles avoid the area where possible. Thank you for your patience and we will update you once it has reopened.”
