Three people have had their licences endorsed with points and have been ordered to pay hefty fines by the courts for various driving offences.

All three appeared in court in December, for offences committed earlier in 2021.

Romeo Nikoliks has been ordered to pay £816 and had his licence endorsed with nine points after being caught driving a BMW on Hindle Street in Darwen on May 15 2021.

Nikoliks, 25, of Crumpsall Street, Bolton, was charged with driving a vehicle without due care and attention, failing to stop for a police officer, driving a vehicle without a licence and using a vehicle without the appropriate insurance.

He appeared before Preston Magistrates on December 1 2021 and was fined £660, plus costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £66.

He had until December 29 to pay a total of £816.

On December 13, Imants Salenieks, 28, of Edward Street, Nelson, was ordered to pay a total of £374 after being charged with driving a vehicle without due care and attention following an incident on Colne Road in Burnley on January 19 2021.

He was fined £250, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £90.

He also had his licence endorsed with four points, and has until January 10 to pay his fine.

Kashif Manawar, 24, of Derby Street, Nelson was also charged with driving a vehicle without due care and attention and appeared before courts on December 13.

His charge was in relation to an offence committed on May 1 2021 where he drove a Toyota Yaris on Briercliffe Road.

Manawar was orderd to pay a fine of £214, costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £34 and has until January 10 to pay a total of £358.

He was also given six points on his licence.
