A FUNERAL service is to take place today for a ‘caring woman’ who also liked to socialise with friends.
Christine Anne Pilkington from Clayton-le-Moors, died peacefully on December 16.
The 68-year-old was the dearly loved and devoted wife to Ian, much loved sister to Stuart also a special friend to Maureen, Lisa, Lian and Debbie.
Also known as ‘Chrissy’ she held numerous jobs throughout her working life and before retirement she worked at Nuture in Great Harwood helping children in child services, this was something that Chrissy excelled at helped by her caring and giving nature.
When Chrissy wasn’t working she loved to go on holidays especially to Las Vegas and sailing the sea on her favourite cruises,.
Chrissy’s funeral service will be held at All Saints Church, Clayton Le Moors at 12.45pm followed by Interment at Dill Hall Cemetery.
It was Chrissy’s wish is for no black to be worn and bright colours only.
Chrissy was a loving wife, who devoted herself to her husband, and the life they shared together, she will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
