Traffic building as M65 closed in both directions due to 'police incident'
**Update at 4pm - the road has now reopened.
A CLOSURE is in place on the M65 as police deal with an incident.
The road is closed between at junction seven for Accrington in both directions.
Motorists are being urged to find an alternative route as traffic builds.
A police spokesman said: “Please note that the M65 is currently closed at Junction 7 in both directions due to a police incident. As traffic is building up, we are urging people to find alternative routes where possible. Emergency services are currently on scene.”
