Lancashire is expected to be the second most in-demand place for Brits to stay in the UK for 2022, according to new research.

Parkdean Resorts has released a new report listing its top 10 locations for staycations in 2022. 

Cornwall was in the top spot with searches for 2022 holidays up by 66 percent year on year. 

Lancashire took the next spot with a 60 percent increase in searches for holidays in 2022.

Next up was the Lake District, Yorkshire and Wales, all averaging an increase in searches of 56 percent.

According to the research, Brits are looking to spend less on their staycations averaging at around £855.35. 

What can I do in Lancashire? 

There are plenty of amazing places to visit in Lancashire, including Blackpool seafront and Pleasure Beach and the Heysham Nature Reserve. 

You can follow in the footsteps of author and illustrator Alfred Wainwright through Witton Country Park, and onto the Yellow Hills above Blackburn.
