Emergency services have launched investigations following two house fires on Sunday.

Crews are now looking into the cause of blazes, one on Garden Street in Padiham and one on Moor Road in Chorley.

At around 6.30pm on Sunday, firefighters from Burnley and Hyndburn were called to Garden Street after receiving reports of a house fire.

Crews attended and extinguished the blaze, which thankfully left no-one injured.

A spokesperson for the brigade said: "Firefighters used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

"No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation."

Not long after, at around 10.30pm, crews from Chorley were called to a blaze on Moor Road in the town.

A spokesperson for the service said: "Two fire engines from Chorley were called to a house fire on Moor Road.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
