A MAN who caused damage and stole from a Pets at Home store is wanted by police.

Anthony Eden, from Colne, is believed to have entered the shop on October 26 and caused £650 worth of damage before stealing around £300 worth of items.

The 41-year-old is described 5ft 3in and of a slim build with blue eyes and cropped, light brown hair.

The offence came two weeks after Eden, 41, was banned from entering shops in Blackburn town centre following a spate of shoplifting offences.

Eden, of Burnley Road, was served with the order on October 15 for shoplifting offences, prohibiting him from entering retail outlets within Blackburn town centre, as well as the Nova Scotia retail park.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Given the hardships all businesses have faced over the past 18 months, we’re passionate about targeting those who are intent on committing this kind of criminality."

Anybody with information about where Eden may be is asked not to approach him but to email forcecontrolroom@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or 2954@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or ring 01772 209 940 or 101, quoting log 1453 of October 26.
