Heavy snow is set to batter parts of the North West, including areas of East Lancashire next week.
Just days after Storm Arwen wreaked havoc in Scotland, the Lakes and Northumberland, it's looking likely that parts of Burnley, the Ribble Valley, Rossendale and Pendle will be hit with similar weather.
A yellow weather warning for snow has been issued by the Met Office, commencing on Tuesday, with forecasters stating: "Heavy snow is expected across northern England and Scotland bringing likely travel disruption, especially over higher routes."
The national weather forecaster said people can expect possible travel delays on roads with 'some vehicles and passengers liable to become stranded'; delays and cancellations to rail and air travel; a chance of some remote communities being cut off from their service suppliers; and a small chance mobile phone coverage could be affected.
The Met Office states: "What to expect:
"Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers.
"Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel
"There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off
"There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected."
No warnings have been issued for Monday or the remainder of the week.
