A MOTORIST was taken to hospital after being cut from a car by firefighters.
Emergency services were called to Leyburn Road in Blackburn at around 11.15pm on Friday following reports of a crash involving two vehicles.
Fire crews attended and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free an occupant of one of the cars who had become trapped in the vehicle as a result of the crash.
They were then taken to hospital, although the extent of their injuries is unknown.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 11.14pm on December 3, two fire engines from Blackburn attended a road traffic collision on Leyburn Road, Blackburn.
"The incident involved two vehicles. Firefighters hydraulic cutting equipment to release one casualty. The individual was then conveyed to the hospital by ambulance."
