A pensioner was knocked over in a hit and run.
On Friday evening at around 5.30pm a vehicle was travelling on Dunkirk Lane in Leyland when it struck the woman, who is in her 70s.
The vehicle, which is thought to be a small white van, failed to stop at the scene, which is an offence, and drove off.
Police are now looking for anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a female in her 70's was knocked over at approximately 5.30 on Fridays evening on Dunkirk Lane, Leyland.
"We have limited details of the offending vehicle at this time but it was a small white van which did not stop at the scene of the accident.
"We are urging anyone who may have captured the incident or offending vehicle on their dashcam to come forward and assist us in locating the vehicle/driver.
"Replies can be sent to 4012@lancashire.police.uk quoting log number 1079 of December 3."
