All of the roadworks expected in and around Blackburn this coming week

THERE will be disruption on the roads in several places over the coming week as planned roadworks get underway in Blackburn with Darwen.

The council has published a bulletin outlining all of the expected road closures and disruption for the week commencing December 6.

They said: “Bear in mind that these are planned roadworks only, and do not include any which are deemed to be urgent or emergency works.”

The list is as follows:

Accrington Road, Blackburn.

Works will be undertaken by United Utilities on December 9 and disruption is to be expected between 930am and 330pm. Two way signals will be in place as the work is carried out.

East Park Road, Blackburn

The road will be closed between Shear Brow and Lilford Road from December 8 at 8pm and December 9 at 5am.

Gorse Street, Blackburn

United Utilities will be carrying out works between 930am and 330pm on December 9 and two-way signals will be in place.

New Chapel Street, Blackburn

Between Parkinson Street And New Wellington Street the road will be closed on December 6 as the council carries out works.

Pilmuir Road, Blackburn

At the junction Of Snaefell Road, Electricity North West will be carrying out works between 07/12/21 and. Multi-way signals will be in use.

Pleasington Lane, Blackburn

Between Railway Bridge And Links Lane on December 6 there will be a road closure.

Pleasington Lane, Blackburn

Outside Lynbar on December 6, two-way signals will place.

Preston New Road, Blackburn

Between December 6 and December 8, a lane closure will be in place.

Preston New Road, Blackburn

Near the junction of Scar Lane, two-way signals will be in place between December 11 and 12.

Preston Old Road, Blackburn

On the 9th during the day, two-way signals will be in place.
