A NEW events space in a five-star hotel will play host to one of the hottest tickets in town.

L’Orangeraie, at the Stanley House Hotel and Spa, is set to welcome guests of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021 in February. The event had previously been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The new space was unveiled by hotel bosses earlier this week and has been described as an ‘exceptionally versatile’ and uniquely designed venue ideal for a range of events including glamorous gala dinners, cocktail receptions, product launches, international conferences, fashion shows, awards dinners, wedding receptions and other private and corporate events.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Monte Hotels, owned by Euro Garages brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa, acquired the operating business of Stanley House Hotel and Spa last year. L’Orangeraie has capacity for up to 450 guests.

Rachel McQueen, chief executive of Marketing Lancashire, said: “Stanley House Hotel and Spa has been one of Lancashire’s gems for decades and with the exciting plans for its ‘once in a generation’ transformation, announced earlier this year by the new owners, we know that L’Orangeraie is just the start.

“The pandemic has hit the events and hospitality sector hard. This level of investment in the sector, and in such an impressive, flexible and beautifully situated event space is wonderful to see, and just the boost we all need right now. I’m sure L’Orangeraie will play an important role in the recovery of events in Lancashire.

“We look forward to welcoming colleagues from across the county to Stanley House on February 2, when the winners will be revealed, and the innovation and resilience of Lancashire’s tourism industry celebrated in style.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

The annual awards, celebrating excellence across a wide range of visitor economy businesses, reveal the brightest and best stars working in Lancashire tourism today, with many of the county’s winners then going on to represent Lancashire at the national Visit England Excellence Awards.

Marketing Lancashire has also announced University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) as the headline sponsor of the Lancashire Tourism Awards.

Chris Pyke, Executive Dean, Faculty of Business and Justice at UCLan, said, “UCLan is once again proud to be a sponsor of the Lancashire Tourism Awards. They showcase the excellence of tourism, hospitality and events across the county and, as a major centre for education and research in tourism in the North West, it is an honour for us to support the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021.”

The finalists will now present to the Lancashire Tourism Awards expert judging panels at Blackburn Rovers on Monday and Tuesday, where the ultimate winners will be chosen.

Tickets for the awards ceremony are now available to purchase online at www.lancashiretourismawards.com. Tickets are priced from £85+VAT, with tables of 10 available from £800+VAT. The ceremony is a black-tie event with drinks reception, three course dinner and live entertainment.
