MARKET Place's reputation as a fashion destination is set to be cemented further with the opening of a new store into one of its flagship units.

Leading Labels is set to move into what used to be the ground floor of Zara’s.

Their sister operation Blue Inc has also recently occupied the first floor, having moved over from Crompton Place Shopping Centre.

Leading Labels is described as one of the largest multi-brand fashion retailers.

Meanwhile Paul Smith, manager of Blue Inc, said: “My favourite part about being in this shopping centre is the broad spectrum of retailers you get here, and engaging with a new customer base that are receptive and enjoying our brand as it’s so new to the centre.

“We’ve got a really proactive centre management here, who push the brand forward, and ensure that we are seen by the right people.

“This is on-trend men’s fashion at a great price to the modern, everyday shopper and I would say to anyone who’s thinking about shopping here to give us a try - we’re the new boys on the block so come and see what we’ve got.”

Ryan Stewart, shop assistant, added: “The people here are so polite and I love interacting with this community and we have been welcomed so warmly.”

Blue Inc now operates in 15 stores nationally with more than 200 staff

Bosses at their parent company are set to use the ground floor unit to open a store for their partner company, ‘Leading Labels’ to focus on high profile brands like Ben Sherman, Wrangler, Crew Clothing Company, Joules and Lee.

The store also plans to run a number of Christmas events this year, including Dinner with Santa today and tomorrow and on December 10 to 12, a Santa Treasure Hunt on December 11 and 12 from 11am to 4pm and a Christmas Jumper Day on December 10.

Blue Inc’s branch is also set to play host to a carol service on December 15 from 6pm to 7pm.
