Blackburn Rovers fans can help the homeless and support a local charity this winter by purchasing a blanket from the Roverstore.
Rovers have teamed up with Benefit Mankind for the 2021-22 season, with a number of fundraising and awareness activities scheduled to take place throughout the course of the campaign.
The club are selling specially-branded blankets in the club shop to help raise funds for a winter appeal. All the proceeds raised from the initiative will be put towards projects that help to support people living on the streets at this particularly challenging time of year.
Supporters can also choose to pay £5 and then re-donate the blankets, which will then be delivered to those in need by Benefit Mankind over the coming weeks. .
Rovers will be dedicating this weekend’s home game against Preston North End to the Blackburn-based charity, who provide aid and support to projects in 12 countries. Fans coming to Ewood this Saturday can also show their support by buying a shopping trolley keyring, priced at just £1.
Earlier this month, players from Rovers Under-18s took time out of their Sunday evening to deliver hot food and warm clothing to the homeless and those in need in Blackburn town centre.
