SEVERAL roads will be closed over the coming nights as surfacing works come reach a conclusion.
During the final stages of work on Haslingden Road and Roman Road in Blackburn a number of overnight closures have been announced while surfacing takes place.
Haslingden Road will be closed at the junction of Old Bank Lane from 7pm November 30 to 4am December 1.
Stopes Brow will be closed at the junction of Roman Road from 8pm November 30 until 6am December 1.
Haslingden Road will be closed at the junction of Old Bank Lane from 7pm December 1 to 4am December 2.
Stopes Brow will be closed at the junction of Roman Road from 8pm December 2 until 6am December 3.
Access will be maintained for Emergency Services.
A council spokesman said: “United Utilities will also be on-site on Wednesday 1st December at Roman Road / Stopes Brow to repair the water leak at the junction prior to surfacing. This had been planned to take place over the weekend, however, the effects from Storm Arwen resulted in this being cancelled.
“Delays are to be expected tomorrow whilst United Utilities carry out the repairs, which will be under temporary lights Works will be clear within the day.”
