POLICE have arrested a third man on suspicion of the murder of Rhamero West after finding him hiding in a shed in Old Trafford.
The man came to the attention of some officers who were patrolling in Ancoats as one of the occupants of a car thought to be stolen.
These officers chased the car until the occupants abandoned it, fled on foot, then hid in a shed.
Once found, two 18-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and possession of class B drugs, then released.
But police realised the third man was already wanted and arrested him on suspicion of murder.
Xavier Winter, 18, of no fixed address, has since been charged with murder.
The murder in question is that of 16-year-old Rhamero West, who died in September after suffering multiple, serious stab wounds on Norton Street in Old Trafford.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and 19-year-old Ryan Cashin, of Nancy Street, have both already been charged with Rhamero's murder.
Both of them, as well as Winter, are still in custody.
