WITH work ongoing to revitalise the area around Blakey Moor in Blackburn, we thought it was opportune to show you this photograph taken in 1979.
This picture was taken from Northgate with King George’s Hall on your right - the keep left sign is roughly where the Gladstone statue stands today.
And who remembers the Ribblesdale Hotel, one of the grander pub buildings in the town centre and certainly the one with the most impressive sign?
