It’s no secret that Lancashire is home to some fantastic attractions, businesses and beauty spot.

Some of the UK’s most famous faces often visit some of these top locations, singing their praise on social media.

From the well-known Pleasure Beach to independent hotels, we have rounded up the Lancashire locations loved by celebrities – you could even spot them there yourself if you visit:

1. Sultans of Lancaster, Lancaster University Campus

Champion boxer, Tyson Fury, has been spotted at this Lancashire eatery earlier this week. 

The Morecambe-based boxer even promoted the restaurant on their social media page.

He was pictured with the owners on Wednesday (24 November) and encouraged people to come and visit the restaurant by saying: “Sultans of Lancaster. La, La, La, get your food now”.

The restaurant has been operating since 2007 and specialise in pizzas and curries.

2. Ewood Park stadium, Blackburn

There are a lot of Blackburn Rovers supporters across Lancashire – some of which you might never have expected.

With a bit of luck, you might bump into them at Ewood park after a game.

Matt Smith, who played Doctor Who, was invited to  to Ewood Park as a VIP guest after revealing he is a Blackburn Rovers fan.

Blackburn Comedian, Lee Mack, is also a staunch supporter and is occasionally seen visiting Ewood Park to watch his club.

Strictly Come Dancing star, AJ Odudu, visited Ewood stadium earlier this week with her professional dance partner, Kai Widdrington, and her family.

She even revealed that she used to work here back in her younger years.

In an Instagram post, the Blackburn presenter said: “We’re at Ewood park with some of my family.

“This is where I used to work so this is brilliant.”

3. Inn on the Prom Hotel, Lytham St Annes

According to the hotel's website, many famous faces have paid this business a visit over they years including Kym Marsh, Mike Tyson, Noel Edmonds and Olly Murs to name a few.

They have had so many celebrity guests stay that they have created a gallery montage devoted to them.

4. Turf Moor Football Stadium, Harry Potts Way, Burnley

If you plan to visit Turf Moor stadium in the coming months, there is a strong chance you might see Burnley radio presenter, Jordan North, on your travels.

His devotion to the club is no secret and he even labelled Turk Moor his ‘happy place’ on ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ last year.

In July, he returned to the stadium as part of a Radio One breakfast segment.

North took fellow presenters, Greg James and Vick Hope to Turf Moor football stadium for the ‘Summer Break Out Challenge’.

5. The Cartford Inn in Little Eccleston, near Preston

Music legend, Sir Cliff Richard, at The Cartford Inn in Little Eccleston before performing at his Blackpool gig.

Staff at the Inn, which was recently named The Sunday Times ‘best foodie hotel’, were “delighted” to have him stay.

Jeanie Beaume spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and described Cliff as a “true gentleman”.

She added: "He thoroughly enjoyed his stay at the Inn. He really enjoyed his meal with us and mentioned that our staff were a credit to us.”

6. Las Tapas restaurant, Blackburn Road, Haslingden

Haslingden's social media star, Antonella Brollini, is often spotted in this restaurant.

Musti Serbest, owner of the restaurant, said: “Antonella lives in Haslingden anyway and is a regular customer who comes in all the time.”

7. Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool

As one of the UK’s leading attractions, it’s no surprise that so many celebrities have been spotted here.

Bolton comedian, Peter Kay has visited the attraction several times over the years – but is always pictured in his signature blue shirt.

Most recently, he visited the attraction in August posing with Aardman Animations characters, Wallace and Gromit.

JLS boy band members also filmed themselves riding The Big Dipper back in 2011.

In the video, which they posted to their official YouTube channel, Oritse Williams, Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill can be seen screaming and singing on the ride.

8. Maundy Relief Key Scheme, Accrington

Coronation Street fans will be excited to hear that Julie Hesmondhalgh is a the Patron of this Accrington charity.

Earlier this year, she took part in a food bank collection in aid of the charity.

 

 

She encouraged Accrington Stanley supporters to drop off some items after a big game.

9. Mrs Downsons Farm, Clayton-le-dale

Two famous families and celebrities have paid a visit to Mrs Downsons Farm in Clayton-le-Dale.

 Former Westholme School pupil, Helen Flanagan, visited in October to go pumpkin picking.

Britain’s largest family have also been spotted at the farm in the past.

The Radford Family, who love in Morecambe, headed down to the farm in September after hearing great reviews about it.

They even documented their trip in a YouTube vlog where they captured one hilarious moment on camera.

In the clip, parents Sue and Noel, can be seen “trying to distract” kids from watching two alpacas that were ‘playing together’ at the farm.

A spokesperson for Mrs Downsons Farm said: “They are regular farm park visitors and fans of the farm.

“We’ve had lots of celebrity visitors to the farm recently including the Radford family, which is always exciting.”

10. Buzz Bingo, Marine Road, Morecambe

When you envision celebs, you picture red carpets and fine dining – but you could actually spot some famous faces in a Lancashire bingo hall.

Wythenshawe-born Tyson Fury and Lancashire presenter, Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, descended on Buzz Bingo on Marine Road, Morecambe earlier this year.

They were accompanied by former professional footballer, Jamie Redknapp.
