Blackburn Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Odudu has come back to her home town in advance of another weekend on the dance floor.

AJ brought her professional partner, Kai Widdrington, to Blackburn on Wednesday with them taking a tour of the town and visiting BBC Radio Lancashire where the presenter's career began.

AJ and Kai also visited the Clog and Billycock in Pleasington for lunch.

While at the BBC radio studio, she spoke with the station about her time on the show and how great it was to have had the opportunity to visit the town with her professional partner.

Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, she said: “This is the first time Kai has been properly back to Blackburn and what a lovely welcome we’ve had. It’s been brilliant.

“We were just walking around Blackburn town centre and I was pointing out the town hall to Kai, turned around and there’s a massive billboard of support for Kai and I and it just means so much.

“This is where my roots are and to have local support just means the world to both of us.”

The TV presenter is going into week 10 of Strictly Come Dancing and will be performing a couples choice to Make Me Feel by Janelle Monae.

It comes as she has not yet been in the bottom two of the show which has just four weeks to go until the final.
