THERE was lots of fun and frolics as East Lancashire got behind the fundraising effort for Children in Need.

School and nursery children may have donned the traditional Pudsey ears and wore yellow or even just had a non-uniform day to raise cash for the charity.

We posted an appeal on social media and on our website for families to send in their photographs of the activities.

Year 7 pupils at St Christopher’s High School in Accrington organised a ‘Mini Children in Need Fair’ for their year group.

With plenty of stalls from each form (and lots of chocolate it seemed). They had a tombola and cake sale, as well games such as ‘Guess how many coins it takes to spell Children in Need’, ‘Guess the sweets’, ‘Code Breaker’ and ‘Play Your Cards Right’.

A school spokesman said: “It was lots of fun and looks like they have done amazingly on raising funds. Well done to them all!”

Elsewhere, pupils from Ribblesdale School in Clitheroe had a non-uniform day with a number of fun activities including a sponsored silence, karaoke and crossbar challenge.
