A MAN who went to his mum's house demanding money smashed a window with a metal drain cover when she refused to let him in.#

Blackburn magistrates heard that later the same day Kristian Moon sent his mum a text message saying; "Sorry mum, I didn't want to have to do it but I am going to have to murder you."

Moon, 36, of Leyland Road, Burnley, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and sending a message conveying a threatening message. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report with conditions of bail that he does not contact his mother or go to her home.

Wakkas Javed, prosecuting, said Moon got a friend to ring his mum and ask her for food, money and somewhere to stay.

"She said she had previously given him money but he had always spent it on drugs and alcohol," said Mr Javed. "He turned up at her house shouting for his money and then approached the front window carrying a metal drain cover."

David Lawson, defending, said it was conceded that a pre-sentence report would be required.
