THE clock is ticking down until one of the best national fun fundraising events of the year... Children in Need.
Pudsey Bear has been a national treasure for years as people take on weird and wonderful challenges or even just pick up a set of Pudsey ears from the shop to do their bit for the event.
So it prompted us to take a trip down memory lane and try to dig out old photographs from the archives of people in East Lancashire doing a number of different activities for charity.
Among the images include kids from 15th Darwen (Hollins Grove) Brownies who were doing their sponsored fire engine clean at Darwen Fire Station in 1996.
Another shot shows teacher Rob Hamilton after getting a bucket of gunge treatment from students at Pleckgate School in 1997.
Then you have the photo of an event at Oswaldtwistle Mills where Craig D’John had a bath of beans.
If you are doing any Children in Need events then email robert.kelly@nqnw.co.uk
