A man has been charged in connection with drugs offences and money laundering after a raid on three houses uncovered £2,000 in cash.

The man also had his BMW M5 seized by police.

On Tuesday morning, officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit, supported by the police, arrested a man as part of an investigation into drugs conspiracy.

The man, a 38-year-old from Lytham St Anne's was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs (cocaine), conspiracy to supply class B drugs (cannabis) and money laundering. 

Officers searched three addresses and seized approximately £2,000 worth of cash and a BMW M5 vehicle.

On Tuesday evening, Yasser Khan, of Merton Terrace, Lytham St Anne's, was charged with the offences and has been remanded in custody until he appears at Blackpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning. 

A spokesperson for the NWROCU said: "This evening, (Tuesday November 16), detectives from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit have charged a man from Lancashire as part of an investigation into drugs conspiracy.

"Yasser Khan, aged 38 of Merton Terrace, Lytham St Anne's, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and class B drugs (cannabis).

"He has been remanded in custody until he appears at Blackpool Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Wednesday November 17)."
