This fascinating row of shops was on Northgate in Blackburn. Taken in 1955 the photo records a sweet shop on the corner which was also a booking agent. Do you know what for? Was it for coach trips or possibly for shows at nearby King George’s Hall?
There also Wilkinson’s decorators and a hardware shop with a mysterious doorway on the left with an ornate glass sign above the door.
Was this for a doctor or dentist? If you can shed any light on this photo, do let us know
