PARTS of the county are at risk of flooding after a weather warning was issued for heavy rain.
Parts of Burnley and the Ribble Valley are covered by the yellow weather warning, which began in the early hours of Thursday and will carry through to Friday.
And while Blackburn with Darwen is not presently deemed at risk, heavy rain is still expected in the borough.
According to the Met Office, persistent and at times heavy rain is likely to continue through Thursday and Friday.
There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads with spray and flooding leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services, they have said.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings and there is a slight chance of a loss of power in some areas.
