An East Lancashire music venue is gearing up to present a Madchester tribute night next month, featuring tunes from the iconic Factory Records label.
On Friday November 12 St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall will celebrate the iconic Factory Records with a double header from two of the most prominent bands from that era.
True Order, the sound of New Order and Joy Division, and Happy Mondaze, the sound of the Happy Mondays, will bring all the classics and more from the two iconic bands, plus a Madchester/Hacienda DJ set after the live music.
True Order are Europe's only tribute to the iconic Manchester band New Order and are considered by many to be the next best thing.
Playing the songs from the early years following the demise of Joy Division, right through to tracks from 2015's Music Complete, they emulate the rich tapestry of synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines and guitars with the same uncompromising attitude that made New Order pioneers of modern music.
True Order will also be interspersing their set with some of Joy Division’s most iconic hits.
Happy Mondaze are the number one Happy Monday's Tribute act and are all from Manchester.
They were the first musicians to bravely emulate the Madchester legends, and on the night they will play all the hits from one of the most famous Factory Records artists.
A spokesperson for St Mary’s Chambers said: “Join us for a celebration of Factory Records, re-living the heady Madchester vibes of the infamous Hacienda, the spirit and atmosphere of one of the most iconic movements and times in music.”
Tickets are only £12 per person plus booking fees and can be purchased from www.stmaryslive.com now.
Doors open from 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
