A TV agony aunt and social influencer from East Lancashire has teamed up with her hairdresser to create a range of affordable clip-in hair extensions.
Antonella Brollini from Rossendale has joined forces with Katy Grimshaw of Spectrum One Hair Extensions, to create a new range of pieces, under the umbrella, Get Glam.
Get Glam comprises three styles of hair – the halo, the top pony and the power pony - available in either 16” or 20” length in 11 blended tones.
Antonella, who is a regular reviewer on daytime TV said: “Using the hair from our Get Glam range is a super quick way to get that glow up in order to show up to whatever you have going on in your life that day – whether it be a ladies’ lunch, night out or just a day at home where you want to feel a bit glam – just clip it in and you’re done, it’s that simple.”
Katy, who owns Spectrum One Salon in Haslingden, has been Antonella’s hairdresser for the last six years and the collaboration came about organically when Katy was looking to expand her hair extensions offering to encompass a more affordable range.
She wanted to create pieces that could be easily applied from home and the two women got chatting at one of Antonella’s appointments.
Katy said: “Everything out there at the moment is aimed at the super glam young girl, when really, the majority of our clientele represent a wider variety of ages, shapes, sizes and styles.
“The whole point of Get Glam is that we can offer a quick hair-fix that is suitable for absolutely anyone without having to come into the salon every time.”
Get Glam has also been inspired by Antonella’s ultimate style icon, Jennifer Lopez, who regularly changes up her looks using hair extensions.
Antonella said: “I always joke about looking like her on my social media as we are quite twin-like actually – she is incredible, what a beautiful lady.
“It’s a privilege to be able to bring my face to a product that other people can look at and find relatable because there’s a lot more faces like mine about than there are the ones we see in the magazines that have been edited or Photoshopped.
“I always say to people, do not look at the vessel that you are in now and humiliate it and tell it that it’s got stretch marks or pimples or wobbly bits – congratulate your vessel for the day it has got you to which is today.
"Once you start to talk to yourself with love, you’ll start loving yourself more and start feeling good and therefore you’ll look good – confidence doesn’t have a size.
“To have Get Glam out there and have people think ‘well if she can, I can’ – it’s a privilege.”
