AN artisan market is returning to a town centre with a musical performance from North-West actress and singer Gemma Sutton.

More 60 small businesses will have stalls when the event returns to Burnley.

The first artisan market on September 11 with 45 traders was judged a success as was the second earlier this month.

Now it will return on Saturday November 6 with 65 and emphasis on Christmas gifts, food and drink.

Gemma Sutton from 'The Voice Box', a North-West based West End and TV performer, will perform acoustic sets from her converted horse box at the event which starts at 10am in St James’s Street in Burnley town centre.

The Burnley artisan market is a collaboration between Burnley Business Improvement District (BID), Burnley Council and Independent Street

Pendleside Hospice will be running a Christmas craft area for young visitors.

Burnley BID Project Manager Andrew Dean commented: “The response to the first two markets has been fantastic and we’re really looking forward to the November and December events which will feature some amazing seasonal produce.”

Cllr Afrasiab Anwar, leader of Burnley Council, added: “Bringing the Artisan Market to Burnley has proved to be a great success. It has drawn on local talent as well as bringing in traders from further afield to our town centre offering quality goods."
