A WARNING has gone out after several scam calls were made by a perpetrator claiming to be from Lancashire Police.
According to the real Lancashire Police, several of the scam phone calls were received in the Longridge area, with the caller giving false collar numbers and names of officers.
Officers have advised members of the public to remain alert.
A police spokesperson said: "I would like to remind people not to panic with these type of false phone calls, although I understand they can be alarming.
"Please also refrain from giving out any personal details, as the police will not contact you asking for personal details regarding your bank accounts."
