A two lorry crash has closed a section of the M65 – with three miles of congestion.
The eastbound lanes of the motorway have been shut after two lorries have crashed between junctions three and four.
A diversion is in place for people travelling in the area.
Highways England said: “One of the vehicles has shed their load of scaffolding equipment across the carriageway.
#M65 closed eastbound between J3 and J4 #Blackburn due to a collision involving 2 lorries. There is approx. 2 miles of congestion on approach to the closure at J3. For more details including a detailed diversion route, please follow this link: https://t.co/OJOytepPP6 pic.twitter.com/4krRcsQicV
