AN investigation into the theft of heavy machinery has led to charges being brought against two men.
Last year, Ribble Valley Police started looking into an incident that saw an excavator and a road roller - valued at around £35,000 - were stolen in Burnley.
Two people were arrested and the subsequent investigation has now been presented to the Crown Prosecution Service, who authorised charges for theft.
Oliver Smith, 26, of Bridge Street, Padiham and John Devers, 57, of no fixed address but formerly of Kay Street, Padiham, will appear at Blackburn magistrates' court on November 18, 2021.
